Germans are a romantic lot, according to a survey conducted by news magazine Focus released on Sunday. Some 69 percent of those polled said they believe in true love.

More than two out of three Germans polled said they believe there is one person who is meant to be their lifelong partner.

Just 29 percent of the 1006 participants said they don’t believe in “the one.”

Young Germans are the most bright-eyed when it comes to love, according to the survey. Some 72 percent of the 18 to 34-year-olds questioned said they believe in true love, while only 63 percent of the 45 to 54 year old participants said they thought there was a single person meant for them.
