Thirty-three wind turbines planned in the Polish regions of Masuria and West Pomerania and will generate about 2.3 megawatts apiece, Siemens Energy said. The project is expected to be in operation by fall 2009.

The wind farms are a joint project of RWE's renewable energy division, RWE Innogy, and a Polish company, Polish Energy Partners.

Siemens called Poland one of the most promising markets for wind energy in Europe.
