Besides, the Amis more or less allow doppelte Staatsbürgerschaft. They won't confiscate his German passport or require that he sign a pledge renouncing his German citizenship. It's the Germans who don't allow dual citizenship.
I don't blame him either. If your business interest is in the US.....then it's best to stay here. I'm guessing that he runs various soccer training camps and makes a healthy income off that.
Klinsmann has found out that when you are in the high middle class in America it don't get any better than that, nowhere.
"A U.S. citizen may acquire foreign citizenship by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. citizen may not lose the citizenship of the country of birth. U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one citizenship or another. . .
However, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries. Either country has the right to enforce its laws, particularly if the person later travels there. Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country."

It looks like it's possible for J.K. to become a naturalized American and keep his German passport, from the U.S. perspective.
It sounds like a Good idea, you can still go back to Germany any time you want and outside of California it truely is the land of the Free and the home of the Brave. I thank God for that every time I come home from a trip overseas.

You can even hire some foreigners to do your work, so you can spend more time hanging out with your buddies in MMA Fight trunks and shower thongs drinking beer and playing x-box. Who wouldn't want to be a part of all this.
