Your comments about this article:
BTW, Hamburger - German troops followed the US into Afghanistan and they are still there. You apparently haven't have noticed this - which is not surprising because they don't actually do anything apart from keeping well away from any fighting.
While I' m at it how about 1 September 2001 in München as a time and a place or Wembley in 1966 ,Mr Hamburger.
Anyway, I'm only commenting from experience, not 'having a go'. One of the reasons I'm here now is from my point of view Germany is an online opportunity to make name for new companies whereas in the UK that 'window' closed a while ago. Sorry, this is all off topic now, lol. As for the football, yes, you're right, damn Germans :-)
You are so wrong ,people in London don't have trash they have rubbish.
No your wrong, its trash or garbage for those who speak correct english.
No trash and garbage are American terms and are not used in London or the mother country of English speaking England.
Get it right if you must comment.
To be honest I'm very content with the way the world wide web is being used by different companies in Germany. What's much more important to me is the standard of living as a whole and from my own experience the standard of living as a whole in Germany is by far higher than in the entire UK and Ireland.
@ Englishted:
It's so funny how the English keep on talking about the World Cup 1966 (maybe because it's the ONLY title they have ever won and perhaps only because of a wrong decision) and how the English keep on talking about the 1-5 in 2001. At that particular time the German national team was completely down to the ground, the worst team since years (every German fan has to admit that in 2002 they were extremely lucky to reach the final of the World Cup, but in contrast to the English they were even able to luckily reach the final with such a bad team).
Best regards and a little joke: What's the fastet way out of Wembley Stadium? Of course (the) South Gate. ;-)
Facebook is becoming more popular in Germany. The UK were ahead in starting to use it but now the usage is on a par with Germany in my experience.
One of the comments above was about the opportunities to buy on German websites compared to English websites and I would have to agree with that. Only now are Media Markt allowing online purchases compared to the UK CE retailers which have been doing it for years.
The English use supermarkets far more than the Germans who tend to prefer the smaller personal shops. Neither is better or worse only different. There are things I prefer about the UK and things I prefer about Germany. Don't be so blinkered in thinking different is worse.
As for being a second Fabio, well no. I can clearly admit that the England team is sadly lacking in quality at the moment (that said they did recently beat Spain) and the heady days of Sept 2001 in the Olympic stadium in Munich and Micheal Owens hatrick are just a happy memory.
Switzerland had also been able to beat Spain at the World Cup 2010, but we all know where it ended for them...
However funnily enough it's always the English or at least UK residents who have to start such dicussions... ;-) (see sparki, Englishted, you).
Best regards
As for your last quote i only responded after your earlier comments (post 10) and i must admit i did like your exit joke :-)))))
Best regards to you also.
Though I have to admit that the joke mentioned above belongs to my ultima ratio when it comes to discussions about football with people from England... ;-)
Just to point out we didn't start the discussion it was Hamburger#2 .
I only responded to his last statement.
I am looking forward to the Euros but hold my hands up to say German are by a long chalk far better than the England team at the moment and have been for a long time. I hope that will change soon ,but the team to beat are Spain.
I hope you enjoy watching it too.
Against England it is normally on penalties :-(
