Football league nixes naughty 69 jersey for Karlsruhe's Drpic

Dino Drpic, the new Croatian defender at Bundesliga side Karlsruhe SC, apparently wanted 69 put on his jersey as an homage to the fiery love he has with his vixen pop star wife Nives Celzijus, but the German football league nixed the naughty number.

Celzijus, known for her provocative public personality, has proudly talked about her passionate relationship with her husband – not always to the benefit of his football career. Drpic had to leave his old club Dinamo Zagreb after his wife revealed on television that the couple had had sex on the middle of the pitch at the club’s stadium.
He is currently on loan to Karlsruhe, which seems to have less against the sexy PR shenanigans of former Playboy Playmate Celzijus. But the German Football League (DFL) poured cold water on using 69 for Drpic’s jersey number.
“We had come to an agreement with KSC,” said Drpic’s advisor Milan Lopac. “The club thought it was a good marketing idea. But unfortunately the DFL turned down the petition.”
After the DFL balked, the Croatian defender ended up with the number 11.
“We asked the club to pick a lower number for the sake of clarity,” DFL official Holger Hieronymus told Bild.
