A woman in the western German town of Darmstadt finally reported a pigeon to her local police force, after the over-friendly bird kept "stalking" her by hanging round her house.

Your comments about this article:
If I were in power, I would definitely send that woman on a 1 week vacation to Afghanistan or Gaza Strip. Her pigeon problem will definitely be solved.
I've concluded that it's some kind of standard form to use for journalists who have nothing to write about: write a crazy story about something completely off the wall and untrackable and set it in Darmstadt and see if anyone ever notices.
On another TL article regarding coffee I also made a similar observation as you regarding journalism. One would wonder if it is the silly season at TL with articles such as this and that one. Surely there is some real news happening out there? Or at least stick to the old reliables such as Islamophobia and Europhobia for some discussion.
However, when it comes to pigeons, Tom Lehrer has a recipe, which you can see on youtube: yhuMLpdnOjY
Everyone needs a mate, above all in time of freezing seasons. But oh what a pigeon ! He must be a girl chaser in the world of doves. He also has features of a casanova... This kind of species often never back off when girls disclaim their flirty attempts.
