Germany’s women are in the spotlight this week - having recently dealt with the sexy men, this edition of The Local List features a selection of the country’s most delectable ladies.

While Germany might have a reputation for producing the tall blondes of this world such as Claudia Schiffer and Heidi Klum, this week’s list has gone a little deeper into the country’s catalogue of actresses, politicians, musicians and TV personalities to bring you some of the country’s other beauties.

Take a look through our choices, which range from spring-chicken socialist Julia Bonk to mature actress Iris Berben, and see whether you agree with our choices.

I could add about twenty names to this list and all of them would be between the ages of 30 to 50. They might not meet the adjective "sexy" but they are all damn good looking (my opinion and my taste, of course). Petra Gerster is one of the 20.

What about Magdalena Neuner?! She deserves a place here at least as some of the not-so-attractive women here

Nena and Bettina Wulff are considered amongst the 11 sexiest German women, but someone like Diane Kruger is not?

What a ridiculous list.

There are so many sexy and great looking gals out there that are NOT in the media nor politics. In fact I dare say that if the best looking woman in the world said she was a politician or in the media. I'd also add liar and conceded to the sexy and good looking title. First and foremost. I want a good woman. If she's also great looking then all the better. Good always out shines the looks in the long run.

I don't understand. Germans are not ugly people, why are the pretty girls missing from that list. Maybe it's just the Locals wierd taste( its bad, lets be honest).

Somehow it's difficult for the rest of the world to see Teutonic women as sexy and feminine.........they all look like Helmut Kohl after they're past 30
