Doctors botched dead porn star's boob job

The late German porn star known as “Sexy Cora” most likely died during breast augmentation surgery in January due to mistakes made by doctors, according to a formal investigation.

Carolin Wosnitza was undergoing her fifth breast enhancement procedure, this time to increase her breast size from an F to a G cup, when the 23-year-old suffered a heart attack at a plastic surgery clinic in Hamburg.

According to a forensic report seen by the Bild newspaper, her main cause of death was a botched resuscitation attempt when her heart stopped beating during the operation.

The assessment said doctors incorrectly used a defibrillator device and failed to give Wosnitza a needed cardiac massage, Bild reported on Wednesday.

However, the report found no fault with how doctors had administered Wosnitza anaesthetics – something many suspected had contributed to her death.

Prosecutors had been investigating the doctors involved in the surgery on suspicion of negligent homicide, but there’s not yet word if authorities will issue an indictment. The defendants’ lawyers will have a chance to respond to the report before that decision is made.

Wosnitza became famous last year on the German version of the reality television show Big Brother. She went on to release several popular music singles.

But she was also as a prolific porn actress who had to be rushed to the hospital during one shoot after she struggled to perform fellatio on 200 men in one day – what would have been a world record. She only got to the 75th man before falling ill.

In 2010 she was honoured with an award for her dedication to porn at the Venus erotic industry trade fair.

Very unfortunate as she fell into the 1 out of every 10 surgeries performed in Germany are botched, according to a previous article here in Germany.

I hope I never have to go under the knife here.

I have had three operations here, including breast reduction surgery. When I woke up, they told me to be careful as I had lost a lot of blood and was aenemic as a result. It scared me after the fact that they had not had things more under control when you could see the large size of the veins through my skin.

I disagree. I was hospitalised here in Germany and it was by far the best service I have ever received. They were very caring as well. The USA always says they have the best, but I think they say that so they can charge you an arm and a leg for treatment. After all Medicine was started in Europe. Some of the best doctors in the world are from Germany and they also invented a lot of drugs and medical equipment here.

Sebastian - I've had only one moment of pause. However, modern medicine didn't start in Europe. It started with the Arabs in the Middle East.

what makes German medicine inferior to American medicine is not technology or knowledge, but a lack of critical review. Germans don't do "Mortality and Morbidity" conferences where departments talk about actual mistakes and how to avoid them in the future. German hospitals have a super-rigid hierarchial structure in which even inexperienced residents are discouraged from asking for advice or even isntructions. They take "learning by doing" to the extreme, with the result that operating rooms might be running with a junior surgical resident and a junior anesthesiology resident and no attending physician to help out. Yikes!

@Gretl and @sebastian2010,

I think you both should give the Greeks a little credit (pun intended).

having had an eye operation where a junior doctor failed to administer an anaesthetic properly before he cut my eyelid i'd agree with DD town - the attending stepped in after I asked him if he was being taught by the local metzger...

Germany seems unwilling to strike off incompetent doctors. Daniel Ubani got a 9k€ fine here but was banned in UK for killing someone.

There is another aspect to the differences in medical care between Germany and the USA. Nurses in Germany are treated and paid no better than an unarmed security guard. Contrast that to the position an RN occupies in the US model. My wife has done both, working in Germany as recently as 2009 and is currently registered in the states. She does a lot of things under the American system where she knows perfectly well what is needed (it's called experience) where in Germany she would be crucified unless she called a doctor. In Germany, 10 Euro's per hour, in the US, $42 per hour. Here RN's are respected partners with the MD's in the care of patients, in Germany they are nobody's.

i paid for expensive robotic surgery for a hernia here in germany every thig went ok.

now about the actress she was great really hot may she rest in peace.

however i am angry that those incompetent doctors killed her, she was tiny and the so called normal usage of anaesthetics most likely was over done since body weight is only a Guide.

her acting was first rate she was genuine she threw her self at male genitals like a wild rutting cat in heat complete with shrieking spitting mewing and eye ball rolls.

what a show!!

her tight little bum bobbing up and down and her face twisted in pleasure was a sight to behold.

she gave the world joy and in return modern medicine sent her into the neither world of shadows and death. her chest on open and stiched back up after wards like a failed frankensteins bride of porn.

maybe they can exhume her and attach electrodes to her neck put her in a large pyrex vat of colloidial ionized mineral solution at the embryonic ph level and then expose her to the light of heaven and hopefully odins valkyries will come and thor will throw the blitz form mjolnir his hammer and she will rise once again the undead resurrection of the german goddess of porn

From what is written here you have a 90% chance of success. I also read where there is a far greater chance to contract a post operative infection in Germany than most other first world countries.

How valid or where the numbers came from is uncertain as there was not footnotes to substantiate the findings.
