Woman pleasures herself in train – other passengers not amused

Published: 14 Jan 11 16:08 CET | Print version
Online: http://www.thelocal.de/society/20110114-32437.html

The police on Friday said they had arrested a woman having a good time with herself and a vibrator on a train in Bavaria. Despite rubbing her fellow passengers the wrong way, she claimed she didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.

The 29-year-old was uninhibited in her use of the vibrator during a train trip between Bad Kissingen and Würzburg on Thursday, the police said.

But fellow passengers in the open-plan carriage who weren’t quite as easy going as she was found themselves stimulated in a different way. They complained to the train conductor, who then informed the federal police.

When the woman reached Würzburg, she was met by police officers and taken to a nearby station.

Police said the “flippant woman” admitted to having used the vibrator in the train, but showed no understanding as to why others might see public masturbation as inappropriate. She did not find the fact that a child had been sitting nearby especially problematic.

However, she will likely have to pay for her free-and-easy attitude. Police charged her with indecent behaviour, which is punishable by a fine or up to a year in jail.

Wow... I love hippies...
17:34 January 14, 2011 by Misterbee
I'm not yet certain how this is going to impact my wife's view of traveling by rail...
18:08 January 14, 2011 by Bretzky
Too funny...!

@ But Jimberlin: what does this have to do with hippies!? haha =P Why are you assuming she's a hippie?
18:24 January 14, 2011 by rednek1947
Well the train does look like a giant vibrator. It probably excited the girl.
18:26 January 14, 2011 by iseedaftpeople
hm that took some guts, doing that in front of all the other passengers.

hey, you don't want to know what I have done in an airplane toilet... BUT... if you feel you must pleasure yourself while using mass transportation, please do it where others can't see you, like, in the toilet or in the pricacy of a compartment where you can lock the door and pull the curtains and all.

Thank you, that is all.

Perhaps if she didn't admit to playing with herself. A trip to the loo would have been more appropriate. I would have helped..........

remember the old joke...

An airplane pilot introduces himself to his passengers over the intercom after takeoff, then puts down the microphone but doesn't realize it's still on, and everybody on the plane can hear him say "Alright, all I need now is a coffee and a bl**j**..." The stewardess in the back of the plane is shocked, and rushes to the front of the plane to tell the pilot. Seeing this, one of the passengers shouts at her "Don't forget the coffee, honey!!"
20:49 January 14, 2011 by DinhoPilot
I wonder if this "actions" will be on the raise. I remember once "seeing" a dude walking around jerking off... THE Horrrrror
22:06 January 14, 2011 by wxman
The article says she was "rubbing her fellow passengers the wrong way". Translation: She wasn't rubbing them, she was rubbing herself. They were just jealous. My recommendation: If a young woman wants to masterbate in public, just shut up and watch.

lol.. when 2 english tourists (CMIIW) had sex on the beach in DUBAI and got fine we, here, screamed like a hell that the authority there breached the human right.

but now, we see the same/similar thing here.. and we are just laughing.. hahahaa

The police did a great job of arresting this individual. People like that have a bad influence for the people around them. The passengers did a great job of informing the police, and helping their commnity.

Conductor: Will you be traveling all the way to Würzburg?

Lady: Yes, but I might get off before.
01:01 January 15, 2011 by iseedaftpeople
@teutonic-knight

yeah... next thing you know, people will think that you don't go deaf and blind from masturbating... we surely can't have that...
05:50 January 15, 2011 by dbert4
Why don't I encounter women like that when I ride the train?
09:23 January 15, 2011 by GermanAussier
With how packed the trains are in my part of the country, I'm surprised she found the room
11:04 January 15, 2011 by storymann
iseedaftpeople,,you know the old joke about the two boys, one says to the other don't masterbate as you will go blind ,the other says we can do it until we need glasses.
12:25 January 15, 2011 by robmar7
I wonder what all thoses fellows men here, who praise this woman would have said if instead of a woman masturbating there was a man jerking off his big, hard nob.

Would they have still liked the whole thing? Or would they still say:" well done, I wish I were there"...

It is sad that we are still living in a macho based culture...
13:22 January 15, 2011 by iseedaftpeople
@robmar7, #21:

Same thing I said above... if you must pleasure yourself while on a train, do so where others can't see you... the toilet, or a locked compartment with the curtains closed. Man or woman, let's not discriminate.

And I disagree that we have a macho culture... it has in fact become more an anti-male feminist culture, even here in Germany. A man probably would have been dragged straight to jail for the one-year maximum... because there's apparently still something innocent about fiddling your lady bits in public, while a man spanking his monkey in front of people makes himself a dangerous sex offender in the eyes of some... again, I am not arguing in favor of public masturbation where everybody can see you get yourself off, but there might be more subtext to this incident than meets the eye.
14:17 January 15, 2011 by XFYRCHIEF
Used to be a train line in the US with the motto "Santa Fe - all the way" - gives a whole new meaning to that saying! And love the fact that the picture of the train does look a lot like a vibrator...LMAO
14:47 January 15, 2011 by slawek
First they disallowed smoking, then eating and drinking in public transport, and now this.

Maybe the Deutsche Bahn should stop advertising travelling by train as hands free.
14:49 January 15, 2011 by tallady
Yes ,we can name this train line ,,"The masturbating express" gender no problem.,

But I am surprised that this individual could not understand that people were uncomfortable with this in public,,am I to believe that she has done this before in full public view with out incident...I think there is more to this story and individual than we know.
19:16 January 15, 2011 by slawek
"But I am surprised ..."

Isn't the official slogan still "Die Bahn kommt" - "The rail (she) comes"?

I wouldn't be surprised, if someone takes this literally. After all, not only environmentalists travel by train but also all sorts of people who can't pass the driver's license test.

And I've seen similar with couples on the night trains multiple times, but no one took offence.

@ Don Doe,

wrong, this crazy person will have a bad influence on the community. Psychologically it can hurt the people and community.
15:57 January 16, 2011 by adlackey
I think we're missing a great enviro-friendly commercial opportunity here - "Leave your car at home, take public transportation - SEE WHAT YOU'RE MISSING?!"
22:59 January 16, 2011 by DOZ
Clearly Germany is leading the world as the most decadent Christian Society.
17:04 January 17, 2011 by LecteurX
Now, now, DOZ, isn't that a great comment? Judging the whole "Society" by the deeds of one crazy person? Hey, does this not remind you of something? Ever learnt anything from the sad history of the 20th century?

I've read your comments on Erdogan and Merkel concerning Cyprus and I know what sides you've taken. So how about starting to judge the whole of the Pakistani (insert adjective here, starting with an "I" or with an "M") Society based on the murders taking place there? The persecution of religious minorities? How about dismissing the whole "Egyptian muslims" as a bunch of rabid murderers solely based on the bomb in the Church on New Year's day?

Generalisation - the most intelligent thing to do in such cases. Bah.

I guess the fact that she was on a bullet train is irony? =o)
