Policeman suspended from duty after sex in church

A Bavarian police officer has been suspended from duty after he was caught ringing in the New Year with a quickie in a Baroque church during the morning prayer service, a police spokesperson confirmed Monday.

After some 25 congregation members heard sinful noises coming from the organ loft in the 18th-century church in Rennertshofen, a woman mounted the stairs to discover the couple in flagrante.

The 26-year-old officer and his playmate left their love nest in a hurry. While the woman covered her face with a stocking cap to conceal her identity, one of the witnesses recognised the policeman.

Church priest Nikolaus Maier filed a criminal report for the disturbance of religious ceremony following the incident.

“It is regrettable that one could stoop low enough to do something like this,” another priest at the church reportedly said later during a sermon.

Criminal police in the nearby city of Ingolstadt have taken on the case. Should the cavorting couple be convicted, they face up to three years in jail.

It is not clear how long the officer will remain suspended from duty.

“The suspension was an immediate measure meant to be a clear sign,” a police spokesperson said. “Trust in the employee is of course damaged and further service is currently not welcome.”

What a great idea - in the organ loft during church services on Chistmas day. They should have sold tickets.

?"It is regrettable that one could stoop low enough to do something like this,?" another priest at the church reportedly said later during a sermon.

How did the priest know how low they stooped while playing with their organs? That must have been a real hot sermon for the congregation, with ears flapping and "Cor' that was great and tut , tut they will be punished". And yet, it's a shame, downstairs they could have confessed their sins straight away. The priest certainly missed out on that one.

The Priest is only jealous that he wasn't involved. But then there weren't any young boys in the loft...

Unless this couple are freed and celebrated for their free-loving ways I'm afraid the dour & uncompromising reputation of Germans will only be further embellished.
