German-born criminal to be deported to Turkey

Surely the issue here is that he will be deported - expelled from Germany. Extradition I would have thought relates to the other country (Turkey) going through a legal process to have him returned to that country to face criminal charges???

What - that doesn't make any sense. How can it happen? Does he have a Turkish passport?

He has to have Turkish citizenship but not German, otherwise the court could not order that he be deported there. You only ever have the absolute right to live in the country(ies) of which you are a citizen.

This is quite similar to Mehmet´s story.

Poor turk, he is in a sandwich situation, becomes ham between Germany and Turkey. 22 yrs old, born in Germany but did not own German citizenship, how it could be? It means when he was 18 yrs, he might decide to still be a turk rather than german. Otherwise, no court is able to expell a german citizen back to any other country, he has the absolute right to stay in Germany. So he must have turkish passport. But why he speaks broken turkish? It does not make any sense. Because his parents speak more german than turkish? Even a illiterated can speak his first language (mother language) very well, no matter which one.This case sounds really odd. The potential possibilities as below, what are the most I can figure by my own,

1.In this turkish family,german is his first mother language, therefore why his turkish is broken, because turkish is his first foreign language. German government should be pround of this success. If so, why this family rejected to let his son become german citizen? At least it is much more convenience when he conducted any criminal, and the accommodation in german prison should be much better than turkish jail.

2.Turkish is his first mother language, but the whole family and all his turkish social contact speak only broken turkish. It means the turkish language spoke by german turks are different from turks in turkey. And the german version turkish is broken compare with standard turkish in turkey. It sounds more ridiculous. Most of the turks moved to Germany since 60s, there is no reason their language will be changed over such short term.

3.This turk is not only illiterated , but also idiot (low IQ), so it can explain why his mother language turkish is broken, so like his german. He inherited this stupidity from his parents, because they did not figure out the best interests for him and convince him become german after he born till 18 yrs old.

Other than this, I guess the judge know all the possibilities, what is the best torture for this criminal? What is the best solution for german government? If the judge can find some ways, the government need not to afford any cost, when this turk live in german jail, and the further criminal impact from him can be 100% excluded....why not expell him back to Turkey. Now the judge should only care the best interests of german society rather than a foreign passport holder. If this turk suffered in his own motherland,it is not the fault of Germany, he has enough chances before, but he lost them....why he should take advantage of everything and finally let german pay for that.

It's clear that he's been a part of the judicial system for a long time already. If he chose to have his Turkish citizenship over his German one at age 18, no matter how ridiculous it is to force such a decision, he made his choice. If he continues to make a violent nusiance of himself with no regards to the consequences then he gets exactly what he desrves. One has to make the willful decision and commit to rehabillitation before it can work, and it does not seem he has done that. If he isn't so integrated into his own heritage (knowing the language etc.) then why did he not choose to maintain German citizenship in the first place? I think what's happening here is a fair process. He's been given the chances to help himself and continued to take things too far. That has notihing to do with any one particular culture, but of a person who does not think about the concequences of their actions. Maybe a harder lesson is for him to learn.

It may just be that the only people who have the absolute right to citizenship by merely being born in a country are Americans. It is for this reason that the children of illegal immigrants cannot be automatically deported as their parents when they are finally caught and tried.

Just kick him to the place where he belongs. A Turk stays in Turkey, a German in Germany.

@piper, Deutsche and dete: I understand your desire to ONLY have educated and progressive people in Germany but try to understand what eddymanly meant. This world is for every one. National borders represent political barriers and if you have any compassion for Humanity, you would also think of terms of eddymanly.

Germany doesnt BELONG to Germans. Not necessarily. Although yes Germans belong in Germany but as we foreigners come to Germany and find it as our home and respect the laws here..you are allowed to do that too. Be open. Have a big heart =)

Anyway, on the topic, i think the court's decision was good.

A national identity is a sense of belonging, if he has a Turkish passport instead of a German one then I assume it is becacuse he has a greater sense of identity and belonging as Turkish. This is in part a failure of full integration and not allowing foreign cultures to feel a sense of belonging in the German system, to feel German. Which isn't drinken Wezien and wearing lederhosen, Germany needs to accept that as a major player in Europe it has to accept being a multi-cultural society, stop discriminating many non-German groups, adopt/enforce European laws that allow freedom of movement/employment instead of insisting on work permits for Europeans to have residency or not allowing non-Germans to be employed in careers such as Police.

Having said that I do agree with the courts decision if he doesn't have German natioanality, it is a risk he took breaking the law of the land which he considered didn't belong to.

On another note, when people talk of parasites sitting on their ass and claim benefits, of all the foreigners that I know they all work and pay taxes for many Germans to sit on their ass and claim benefits. The fact that these real German parasites can vote in the national election yet the tax paying European foreign nationals can't is the biggest discriminatory factor that hinders a sense of belonging.

Sometimes I wonder if some poeple on this forum really think before they put their ideas down. Migration is a natural phenomenon and no matter how many borders or road blocks you create. They remain manmade and are bound to fall down when nature takes its course.

A typical Turk who refuse to integrate. Send him home, why waste taxpayers' money putting him in jail years after years after posing as threat to society (history

of causing bodily harm, > than once.)

Sorry I am an American and we have our own immigration problems. but I hope this comment was from non native of Germany. You don't let thieves rob your home to let "nature takes it course" Why would you let people flood in and colonize your country. Don't you understand your position you will be in when you are not the majority anymore? Who will save you?You are an Infidel and less than human to alot of these people you are letting in .At least we are letting in mostly Christians
