Sorry about the delay ,yes I have read it and weep, yes thats me, no hope for us atheists in the none existent after life is there.
But @marimay there were christians in the middle east before muslims ,and after all these years the education system world wide has still not taught people that there is no jam tomorrow so make the world better today.
When it comes to persecution of nonbelievers and people of other faiths, no single religion in history can hold a candle to Christianity.
Millions of dead Europeans in 2000 years, just because they didn't worship the right god.
And just to mention it, in modern times, more than just a few among the hawks in the U.S. government see the two wars in the Middle East which have already caused the deaths of countless innocent civilians as divine providence, as a just war between Christianity and Islam.
But if you know who pulls the strings in the background, you shouldn't be suprised at the words of Angela Merkel and the "C" parties when they claim that Christianity is being persecuted. Both Merkel and other high-ranking CDU ministers and dignitaries have secret ties to the American Christian Right, and the Roman Catholic Church directly carries immense weight within the CDU.
This is nothing but a cynical image campaign by a religion that has more human casualties on its conscience than any other in all of human history. Yes, there are people in the world who are being denied human rights because they are Christians, and yes, they deserve humanitarian assistance. But Merkel and her henchmen are making Christianity seem like that one innocent blameless religion that everybody increasingly hates for no reason.
And @ raandy you're right, they have no shame... if they had any sense of decency, the Catholic Church would first of all finally own up and accept responsibility for the worldwide disgrace of institutional child molestation within its walls, and stop blaming society and framing the scandal as a facet of "religious persecution".
The minute the CDU federal government starts throwing kiddie-fiddling priests in jail wholesale, I will believe that maybe they really do care a tiny bit about actual religion-based persecution.
You must be a muslim, otherwise you would know islam murdered between 50 and 65 MILLION people in India in their 1000 year occupation simply for not converting to islam. You could also add to that the 20+ million mostly females sold in the muslim slave markets. That was just India, how about the millions killed in the Balkans in the muslim conquests, add to that another couple of millions killed in Egypt, North Africa, Persia, the Byzantine empire, Spain, Italy and southern France. Let us not also forget the poor black people, the muslims were running a very good slave trade from western Africa 700 years BEFORE the europeans got in on it. An estimated 8 million blacks died on the way to the muslim slave markets. read sura 9:5, convert to islam or die.
In muslim on muslim wars since just 1948 over 10 million muslims have been killed. The number killed since mohammed died are incalculable. Instead of living in a fantasy land, read a few history books.
At the immigration office they should ask the men to drop their pants. If they are circumcised then they are muslim otherwise christian. :-)
What does "Love thy neighbour as thyself mean to you". This is the Christian message. Your last comment to Steve1949 doesn't sound very neighbourly to me. Actually quite primitive.
Germany has no official state religion and thus is NOT a "christian country". But that is exactly what the CDU thinks.
If the CDU is of the opinion that "...those of us of Christian faith are called upon to take them in,¦quot; ... Then CDU politicians who are of christian faith should please personally house them in their homes and provide them with all they need out of their OWN POCKET. Not out of the pocket of the german taxpayer who is not automatically born a christian.
Im not a christian. I have no religious duty to help christians. I decide who gets my help and who not. I demand a broader political debate about such decisions. Seperation of church and state exists for a good reason.
Your comments about Christians being heathens are pretty strong words words for a culture that hasn't mastered the art of eating their food with knives and forks. And whose only claim to fame is exporting terrorism, herding goats and humping camels.
To be fair Germany will offer you for every two Christians, one Muslim who lives here on welfare in exchange.
Thats what Germany needs, more Christian foreigners to work and pay taxes. Let us look at the bright side of Christian charity. More babies born in Germany means, an increase in the minus 0. whatever the other minus numbers are population growth rate Germany presently has.
Das ist wunderbar.
Since you cannot read you are not allowed to comment. Stupid illiterate %^&%$#!
