Teen admits killing convicted sex abuser

German authorities are trying to figure out whether a teenager who admitted stabbing a 55-year-old convicted sex offender to death may have been one of his victims.

The 15-year-old boy was arrested shortly after the man, named only as Harry H., was found stabbed to death outside his flat in the Spandau district of Berlin on Thursday afternoon. Initial reports suggest he was stabbed at least three times.

Investigators say the two knew each other, and that their work was focussing on whether the teenager had been sexually abused by the man.

The boy has reportedly admitted killing the man, and is being held in youth detention.

The dead man had two convictions for sex offences against children over the past 10 years. One case resulted in a prison sentence of more than three years, the Tagesspiegel newspaper reported.

The BZ newspaper said Harry H. had not made any secret of his liking of young boys, and had invited several local youths to his flat where they were allowed to play computer video games and watch pornography.

Obviously, you can't trust the legal system to protect the youth from that sicko.

The legal system in Germany has been funny in recent years. I know of a 17 y/o, who got 3 years (!!) for SQUATTING, in an empty house who's owner was absent for years. 3 years for crashing in an abandoned house (no vandalizing) in opposed to... Molesting young boys? How much again? "More than 3 years"? Please, most of them get out on good behavior after serving 1/3-2/3 of the sentence.

Didn't he have a parol officer to monitor him? Doesn't he have to show up for assessments? Chemical castration? Rehabilitation? Something tells me that this kid, who might have been abused (and done us all a great favor) will get more time than this sicko pervert ever had.

It all depends of if your crime can be linked to tax evasion.....Squatting, you pay no rent, you pay no rent you have not paid tax, not paying your bit of tax, you go to prison. As soon as the government has worked out how to tax buggering small boys then the crime will attract a proper sentence........!

Gosh, I didn't know minors in Germany had to pay tax. The squatter was 17 years old. Then again, I hardly know a thing about the German tax system.
