Neo-Nazi's cats caught in bills row

Published: 16 Feb 12 16:34 CET | Print version
Online: http://www.thelocal.de/national/20120216-40795.html

Two cats previously living with a neo-Nazi terror cell suspected of murdering people across Germany are at the centre of a row over who should pay for their keep.

The felines have racked up a bill of €1,017.42 since being taken to the Zwickau animal shelter in November.

Beate Zschäpe handed the animals to neighbours shortly before she allegedly blew up a flat used by the neo-Nazi terrorists on November 4.

She – and the cats – had lived in the Saxon town with two other neo-Nazis forming the National Socialist Underground.

A couple of days later she handed herself in to police and has been in custody ever since. An investigation is being conducted into a string of ten murders her companions claimed to have carried out before one shot the other and them himself after they were caught having robbed a bank.

The cats cannot be re-homed as they officially belong to Zschäpe, animal shelter head Claudia Ruf told the Sächsische Zeitung. She said the police authority of south western Saxony paid the bills until November 11, but then said she should ask the federal police for payment.

The federal police have denied all responsibility, and it seems Ruf will have to try sue Zschäpe for the costs.

The paper said Ruf would not release the names of the cats, in an attempt to prevent neo-Nazis from trying to adopt them.

She said the federal police had visited to take photos of the animals, and saliva samples, although she did not say whether they had asked any questions.

That's a pretty high cost for two cats for not even 4 months They must be feeding them Cavier. I didn't see any mention of medical costs.. The cats are not Nazi's so what's the problem? They should be taken care of like any other animal at the shelter. Who gives a damn if other Neo Nazis wants to adopt them. Is everyone worried that they may become the next master race?

Good points Bushdiver, but I suspect this is just The Local passing off another piece of irrelevancy for newsworthiness.

Hey, those cats aren't blonde! The one in the round box looks sort of Jewish.

As a Neo-Nazi, all I can say is she chose her cats rather poorly.......

@Bushdiver: Cats are already the master race. I didn't know that there is anyone to doubt that...

And they took pictures and saliva samples from the cats? Are there any open cases of rat/mouse murder? Did they poop onto the lawns of Jews? Did one of the neo-Nazis claim that his/her cat did the bombing and they want to do a DNA test? I'm sooo confused right now.

All of these New Left Nazi's should pay for the upkeep. This is one of their own people. Let the New Left Light Brown Shirts take over all the payments becuase the NPD and the New Left people are one in the same. They both have the same motto: "Death to Jewish People.

Amazing; neither of these cats look like Hitler ! You'd think these guys could have found some of those cats with the markings that resemble the mustache; they're actually very common. There are U-Tubes, etc. with these cats. (Absolutely humorless, these Nazis !)

Only in a RACIST antiDeutsch Matrix can such stories have any traction.

Bushdiver: Now Now... How do we KNOW those cats aren't Neo Nazis? How can we be sure? Let's not jump to conclusions until we have proof. There have been documented cases of neighbors living ordinary lives until one day one of them turns up a fascist, anarchist, pedophile, communist... Who knows these days.

The ex-pat: obviously the cats are under-covers agents.

More seriously: these cats are innocent victims. So what if some friend of Zschaepe adopts them, they need to be cared for. She should do the right thing and let the poor animals flee to Argentina.

Watch the movie "White Dog." This might explain people reluctance around the neo-nazi cats.
