Iran, already at risk of fresh UN sanctions over its atomic drive, gave the West an "ultimatum" on Saturday to accept a uranium swap deal or else it will produce its own nuclear fuel for a Tehran reactor. Germany said it makes no difference.

@bushdiver: don't worry, the Israelis know that their asses are on the line and will act accordingly....(I can't wait)! lol ;-)
Balanced reporting is something that is lacking. Propaganda continues. The first fatality of war is the truth.
I think you've got exactly the right idea. War and military action is always the best way to go. Tell you what. We'll save you a spot in the front lines. You can be on the first boat to hit the beach, and then you can discuss matters with the Revolutionary Guards up close and personal.
Jeebus, how many wars do we need at one time. We are finally getting out of Iraq, and December was the first month with NO US combat deaths. You can never win hearts and minds with guns, and if the Iranian people are as upset as they appear to be, we need to support them, not attack them. This regime will come down from within...but only because the people don't believe the tale that everyone is against them. Rather, many are against their government.
In the meantime you can clean your gun and practice a little on how to say Hands Up in Farsi.

Iran wants to be the big dog on the block.. Trouble is Saudia Arabia and Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, and a host of other countries don't want Iran to be the bifg dog on the block, either. They don't want Iran dictating regional policy. This is precisely why Ahmadinejad is trying to enflame the Islamic world. He's not negotiating with nations, rather he's whipping up religious fervent, something his own people don't want. And the glue to that fervent is Israel. Armed conflict will give him what he wants.
I never want to see another of my countryman die in a distant land as a result of knee jerking politicians eager to solve an issue quickly.
Anyway, the Polish interceptor sites were intended to guard against Russia (they were canceled because Putin and Co. have MRV'd ICBMS that render such systems completely useless).
Delivery systems aren't the problem. A single HAMAS/Hezbollah operative with a backpack would render any such systems completely moot...
As for Iran, they are light years away from a deliverable weapon.... (big boom, sure! putting that sh!t atop an ICBM is a whole different story)
