Maerz Musik 2010

The Austrian ensemble Klangforum Wien performs Salvatore Sciarrino's opera "Luci Mie Traditrici" (Oh My Deceitful Eyes) Friday night to kick off this annual festival of contemporary music. From the Arditti Quartet to Ensemble ascolta a full program of new music luminaries runs all week. Stop by the Technical Univesrity to see Bernhard Leitner's new installation "HörSaal."

Izima Kaoru - One Sun

We often thing about the motto "one world." But what about the sun? There's only one of those too. Japanese artist Izima Kaoru focuses on the notion of "one sun," in her exhibition at Cologne's Kudlek van der Grinten Galerie, which encompasses gorgeous photographs of illuminated curves against cerulean blue. Art exhibitions rarely come with so much serenity.

Founded in 2007 by the father/daughter team Christoph and Laura Kramer, Abteilung K creates clothing for women who have undergone surgery for breast cancer.
