Last week thousands of students gathered at a Brandenburg race track with cars they built from scratch. But instead of burning rubber, they were breaking long-distance fuel-efficiency records.
Sweden’s Lulea University of Technology with their ethanol-powered Baldos II urban concept vehicle, which was a sensation after becoming the event’s first car to be registered as street-legal in January. The Baldos II took 16th place for the category.
