Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut

Perhaps the most infamous of all German delicacies, sauerkraut often has a bad reputation overseas. It is, however, not only tasty, but packed with vitamin C, all sorts of healthy bacteria and cancer-fighting chemicals. A lot of benefits for a side-dish made simply from shredded cabbage fermented by lactic acid bacteria!
