As to Leela’s rant, I suggest she checks up on some real history rather than spouting anti-Britsh propaganda. The British Empire lasted hundreds of years (although it only became an actual empire in the late nineteenth century) so there was probably some good in it (modern transport, health care, education -still, what have the Romans ever done for us?)*

Also France and Italy received more Marshall aid than Germany, so that argument is nonsense. Germany was far more damaged as well.

Now don’t say you won the two wars, we all know that on your own you would not have a chance of winning, it took the combine resources of France, the USSR, the USA, Britain, numerous smaller nations and the channel to beat them IN BOTH WARS.

You had been economically surpassed by the USA and Germany in 1900 as an economic power. Your decline of your empire began then and its eventual collapse was inevitable due to this economic decline, the wars only accelerated the inevitable process.
