German Foreign Office ups travel alerts
Germany's Foreign Office on Friday upped travel warnings for several countries amid terror fears.
Urgent travel warnings were increased for numerous African, Asian and Middle East countries in which Islamic extremists are active.
The Foreign Office fears German travellers will be targeted by kidnappers and terror groups.
The warning comes days after images of two German hostages in the Philippines were released.
Kidnappers are threatening to kill one of the hostages if Germany continues its support for the campaign against the Islamic State (Isis) in Iraq.
Countries on the warning list include Nigeria, Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan and Mali.
