Fans angry at Bayern Munich kit colour change
Bayern Munich unveiled their new home kit on Friday for next season - and immediately garnered a storm of protest from fans.
Outraged Bavarians flocked to the social media site to record their disgruntlement at Bayern's decision to abandon the traditional red and white colour scheme.
The hashtag #WirWollenRotWeisseTrikots ("We want a red and white kit") - a reference to a chant that former Bayern hero Sammy Kuffour once led - quickly trended as the fans vented their displeasure at the Adidas-made kits.
"Ever heard of TRADITION?" one German fan asked rhetorically.
"What did @FCBayern do to @adidasfussball for them to wreak such terrible revenge?" wondered another.
Another simply confined himself to the comment: "THOSE ARE PYJAMAS!"
Some observers also noticed that the new colour scheme - though it had indeed once been worn by Bayern - also resembled the Barcelona kit, whose former coach Pep Guardiola has transferred his distinctive style of football to the German club in his first season as Munich's coach.

Other fans were more forgiving, though, pointing out that a colour-scheme once sported by the legendary Franz Beckenbauer can't be all bad:
